I have thin hair myself, and what I do is put mousse in my hair, flip my head upside down and blow-dry it. that way, when i flip my head back up I have super volume.

In the first place you might just have genetics to have thin hair.
Secondly, if you're using a microwave ...STOP.
It's been long-suspected that the rays from a microwave, coupled with plastic of any kind next to your food/beverage, will cause "EMPB" ("Early Male-Patterned Baldness"). Even women are at risk for this. Have you noticed how many women (older ones mostly)...are getting very thin hair?

The ideas above are GR-8...! Getting a sylist to use thinning-shears on the area you want volume on (it's called 'texturizing'---will --- along with a mousse AND a good hair-spray (I love Paul Mitchell's Clean & Shine spray) will help a lot.
BUT I COULDN'T DISAGREE MORE WITH THE GIRL WHO SAID TOO MUCH BRUSHING IS BAD. BRUSHING THE HAIR IS EXCELLENT...IT HELPS THE HAIR FOLICLES TO OPEN & SPREAD OIL DOWN THE SHAFT OF HAIR. 100 Strokes per night is the rule!

Ive had the same problem before with my thin hair. Use a root lifter on your damp hair and blow dry your head upside down. always wash your hair throughly. my hairy also got thicker with age. you can dry using a light volumizing gel.

If you want to get more volume, all you have to do is go to a hair stylist and ask them to give you layers. Maybe in the front or all around your head.

One way to get alot of volume is to use henna, you can buy collorless henna(normaly it is a red dye aswell) that just only acts as a conditioner. It makes any type of hair softer and extremely voluminous without being frizzy.

Well, strategically cut layers do work-only if you are willing to keep up with them. You need volumizing shampoo and conditioner (i like Biolage), a light mousse, (design line's root boost works), a blow dryer, and hold your head upside down when blow drying, scrunching and fluffing as you go.

There are many products out there, but i will try the new herbal essences body envy collection. They provide shampoos, conditioners, mousses, etc. and plus, they smell great!!!

Try a volumising shampoo, also different hairstyles and moose may help. Make sure you arent overbrushing it and overstimulating your follicles but make sure you brush it enough to soften, volumise, and distrubite natural oils.
