Our troops have been fighting in Iraq for far too long. How can we make it out of this war without everything they have worked or being destroyed once we leave?

Finding victory in the midst of calamity would be very nice. Instead of sucking up to Iran and Syria this country should give them ultimatums. You know it is bad when we catch Iranian officials conspiring with terrorist and have to let them go because the Iraqi government has a hissy fit. Things are going very bad there and drastic actions are needed. Sealing off the country by mines and other measures could improve things but the world will ***** about it. Too bad. Finding Iranians should have been taken as an open act of war against us and military action should have been taken. Strength gains respect. Those who want to sit around a table while our people are blown up should be given patrol duty and see how they like sweating it out.

Our troops have not been in Iraq nearly long enough, and it would be quite unsafe to draw down. You might want to research fourth generation warfare. In the past these things have taken ten to thirty years, but that history is against national groups. The Base is multinational, and insists on a region and perhaps a world of Shia domination run under Sharia law. They've been in operation since the Soviets were in Afghanistan and show no sign of going away, and a suitable outcome in Iraq is needed to squeeze their operations.

This time, or the next time.

If we work now so that there is no next time, we will have succeeded. That's what all of this is about.

Radical Islam is the equivalent of a repeat offender. The only way to stop one is to remove him, or it from society.

It's easy! Throw out all media reps. Then, all we have to do is slaughter millions and millions of radical muslims and make sure some weak minded politician in Washington doesn't continue to screw us with funding just to get re-elected.
