I came into the year new into highschool. I asked her out to homecoming. She seemed delighted at the moment to say yes which she did. After saying yes, she told me through internet, a message, no. She would ask me if I was mad and I would truthfully reply no.

She later sent me a message two weeks later saying she would try to fix whatever is wrong. she then told me she liked me at the moment. and her original excuse for not going with me to homecoming was that she promised her 'girls' already.

then her second excuse after trying to fix things was that she didnt know me. once again, she told me she liked me though.

why did she say yes, then no, help me out, particulary a woman.

i dont know if she really likes you or not. she probably just felt bad about saying no, so she said yes the first time, then said no through the internet because its easier to say no when you're not face to face. now she's coming up with excuses to justify the fact that she said no. i would just move on, she sounds like alot of unneccesary work. i mean, she could be telling the truth also. the only way to know is to ask her out on a date or something and see what she says.

ok, well being in high school myself, ill try to answer this as best as i can. It seems like this same thing happend to myself recently and all i can say is that i think she was just trying to cut the new guy (you) a break so you wouldnt feel akward. girls can be wishywashy anyway. but dont worry my man, soon you will find a girl thats just gonna love you to death and she wont have to make lame excuses. maybe some day all girls will realize the we just want the truth and that excuses just hurt us even worse.

It does not matter why she is doing this. The matter of the fact is that there are other girls in your school. Go get another one and make her jelous. It is impossible for a man to understand women so just cut your losses and move on. Oh don't forget to tell her that you like mature girls with character and obviously it is not going to work between you and her.

She is playing games. Which in high school most kids do. If you feel like chasing her then do so. If its starting to make you feel bad or insecure...just move on to the next cute girl you might like.
high school is for practice. Not forever.

Just from what you are telling us...this situation seems awefully confusing....and it also sounds that thats what she is also...causing u to feel confused also.

Think you just both need time out from each other and eventually what will be....will be.

Good Luck!

I dont think shes playing hard to get. i think shes just confused and her friends are probaly not to happy about backing out of her plans. Just be patient. Time heals most.
