not have doubts but it is sad when there is so much violence and horror in the world. I just recently heard of Fish Odor Syndrome where people smell like rotting fish these people are often humiliated and shunned by society because people don't understand their disease and many people are recluses and even commit suicide. I am just sad why innocent people have to suffer with something this bad. I want only Christains to answer this question because I am often confused.

You'll have to reconcile these kinds of issues yourself. Calvinism works for me (everybody guilty/headed for hell anyway except for God's intervention), but that theology doesn't work for everybody. Good luck.

It is all part of a higher picture and purpose than you and me. God made it this way because it must be so. Let's say that you go to Africa and you stay in a small village that has no clean water and little food. This will affect you. Say you decide right then that you do not want ANYONE to suffer like that anymore. You go and you develop a new plan for this village and it is eventually used throughout Africa. That is the reason that these things happen in the world. So that they will effect people and that there will be a change. It is all part of a larger picture. Why do some suffer more than others? I can not answer that. All I can tell you is that it is for the higher purpose that we all work towards - for our part in life.

One thing to keep in mind is that with all the access to media/communication in today’s world, we hear about more of the really bad stuff. But it has always been this way. Imagine being in Europe during the black death with 1 out of 3 coming down with a really gruesome illness. Since the human population is greater than ever, I think we can expect more of everything in human nature, including more really bad stuff.

This is NOT the work of God, but the work of man and in the case of disease often made worse by human actions. We keep breeding meaner and meaner bacteria by overusing antibiotics and causing the ones that survive to be stronger. That’s us, not God.

You might want to consider turning off the TV and just not watching the news, which is designed to be overly sensationalized simply to attract and keep viewers. TV news rarely has much to do with stories of genuine importance anyway.

Just remember that everything about life is temporary. Our bodies are temporary and so is everything we own. We wear out. Things get broken. When you consider that everything is breakable, even us, there is no way around a lot of suffering and pain in the world.

You are not the first to wonder this. Many do and it is tough to answer. God doesn’t cause the bad things to happen and things would be far worse without his grace and mercy.

You question shows that you care about the suffering and that is what God wants. He wants us to find ways to ease the suffering ourselves. Volunteer in your local community. Choose a career that will help others. I promise you will feel better about it if you are helping to be part of the solution.

I felt compelled to anser this question. sure, i'm also an atheist. nicely once you're something like me, you would possibly want to locate your spirituality from technology. that's ordinary really, have you ever sat all the way down to imagine about the superb coincidence that you're alive? I propose really really imagine about it, the probability is sooo low, that they might as well be 0. This to me is magnificent. have you ever though about how great the universe is? Billions and BILLIONS of sunshine years wide! we are not something yet a speck! have you ever though about infinity? Is there an aspect to the universe? Or does it bypass on for ever? what's outdoors of the universe? the point i'm attempting to get in the course of is that we are insignificant. We as people experience we want a spirituality, a something to be counted on. it truly is the position all this bullshit of religion comes from. a opt to describe the unexplainable, resembling greek mythology. regardless of the indisputable fact that the truth of the be counted is, we do not comprehend something. all of us recognize even below we anticipate of. There would not should be a right away answer to something. There would not should be something in any respect. each and every thing is a wide unexplainable mess. yet we exist. Wow. existence exists. are you able to've faith it? i am hoping I made some experience haha. solid success mutually with your search for :]

I think it is confusing, too, at times. But - God never promised us easy lives. God allows our suffering to build faith in himself, I think.....to teach us to trust him and help others. Would we be interested in God if there were no suffering? Would we learn to trust him? Would we learn to love others by our actions (helping others in need and in pain and in desperate situations). Probably not. Even in these tough, rough, suffering times many (maybe most) people turn their backs on God. How much more true would that be if things were always good? God gives us freedom to make choices, and we live in a fallen world. Those choices cause pain and suffering. God is here to walk beside us, before us, and after us if we let him. Don't lose faith - just find a way to show people God. You'll be surprised what it does to you in the process.

When I saw your question I thought of the Most Innocent Person of all times who suffered, Jesus Christ. A Person who committed no sins yet He died for ours. To think about the things they did to Him before He died and yet He endured it, for us. Life is not always fair to anyone. This seems especially so for the chosen people of God. The Word of God says that if we suffer with Him, we will reign with Him. That is why the Bible says that we should glory in suffering because we know we are His. If the devil is not attacking you, a lot of times we need to check our salvation. While it is true that different seasons in our lives will be peace, but not all the time. It does seem unfair. But think about the long term. We will reign with Jesus in Heaven. May God Bless YOu.

Unfortunate -- in a way -we all have our free will- there are times God and his angels do intervene- and miracles happen -- Fish Odor Syndrome is properly known as 'primary trimethylaminuria' -- is caused by an excessive bodily emission of the compound trimethylamine (TMA). TMA is a natural byproduct of the digestion of choline-rich foods, such as saltwater fish, eggs, and liver.-D

Suffering came into the world when Adam and Eve sinned. Pretty much, all of creation was broken, and God will heal it in His time. It is very hard to see all the suffering, but we have to remember that God is still in control. Romans 8:28 says "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him."

Well, you aren’t the first person to ask how an all good, all powerful, all knowing god can allow so much suffering. I would agree with you that it doesn’t make much sense. Sorry, Nubian Princess, not a Christian. I just happen to sympathize a little.

I don’t think anyone can answer this question really, but they can say some confusing and beautiful words that will distract you from it.

;)

Rest assured my friend that Jesus has everything under His control. All the violence and chaos you see must take place. It strengthens the saints and builds faith.

God uses evil or bad things to bring about the ultimate good. We may not see it but it's true and one day you will see and recognize it.
