Try not to worry about him too much. It has been difficult to call over the holidays just from the amount of people calling home and overloading the switchboards. It also depends on his situation. He may be doing missions all day and is just too tired to call when he gets in, or he may be in an area now where they have no phone or internet access. Don't listen to the couple of people on here who have no idea what they are talking about and are just upset that they are too weak to be in the military. Your boyfriend is probably just fine and will call you when he gets a chance. No news is better than bad news.
Happy New Year from Iraq!

I heard from my son on Christmas Day, but there's been a communications shut-down at his base until today... a couple things happened that caused the shut-down.. and with the execution coming up, they're probably being extra careful.
I know it's hard.. but I'm remembering when my brother was in Viet Nam for 18 months, and we got 1 5-minute phone call in all that time... Hang in there.. you'll hear from him!

I know it's hard, but try not to worry. As others have said, it's a busy time of year and everybody over there is trying to get a hold of their families.
My brother is an officer in the Marines over there, and he called us a few days before Christmas -- he did it early because he said that he didn't know that he'd be able to contact us right on the 25th.

Yes, me and my husband chat on Yahoo messenger everyday, and everyday I look forward to it. It is something that keeps us close even though we are far apart. Don't worry too much if you haven't heard from him there will be times when he can't get to a phone or computer, but just have faith and pray for him and things will work out.

I just heard from mine today..in fact 3 times. But he can only call sporadically so it can be frustrating. I have gone as long as 7 weeks without a call. Hang in there.

depending on his job he might not have easy access to communication. it gets pretty busy out there. and on top of it, everyone is trying to contact someone.
