I have a vaporizer that my MIL let me borrow because I have a cold. It is a little bit older and there were no instructions included so I kind of took a guess at what I was supposed to do with the vaporizer steam medication. I know you are supposed to put it in the medicine cup in the vaporizer but when I was putting the cup back into it's place I had spilled some down inside of there. you don't think this will cause a fire do you. I am so scared to go to bed because I don't want that liquid medication for the hot steam vaporizer being down in the part where I am not sure if it is safe to cause a fire. If you need better explanation let me know I will try to be more specific. I am just wanting to know if this could be dangerous???

The thing you most need to be worried about is getting sicker, Using a vaporizer with the medication in it can make your lungs raw and set up pneumonia,a humidifier is better to use, Don't run the vaporizer long period of time. but the med you spilled shouldn't have any affect.

It should be okay, but you might want to get a newer vaporizer when you get a chance. Just because of the mieral deposits that build up in the older ones. But again you should be safe.

That happened to me too the first time I used the one we got for my son when he was sick.. it should be OK, ours didnt cause a problem.. although I burned myself about 18 times trying to refill the stupid thing all night long!
