Im not very religious, ive never read the Bible, or anything like that, but I have heard that in the Bible, it says that homosexuality is wrong, and a lot of Christians think that if you are gay, you should not be a Christian and that are "sinning" and whatever. Well, I don't know about you, but if God thinks that just because people love the same sex as themselves, are sinning and are un-Christian, then he's not as great of guy as Christians belive him to be. Dont take this personally against your religion either, ok? im just interested to as what Christians think and what the Bible does say.

a lot of you are saying how it is a sin and all that, but think of it this way: if God is so kind a loving, then why would he see it wrong that his creation love, no matter what gender?

Why don't you try reading the Bible for yourself? You say you've never read it. Yet you obviously have an interest in what the Bible has to say. You know that old saying " You should never judge a book by it's cover." Well, the only way you can truly understand the Bible is to read it for yourself! I really hope you will! Now as far as what I think as a Christian about homosexuality well I believe it is a sin, however I do not hate the sinners I only hate the sin. And also as a Christian I should not judge those sinners, I should pray for them. But I have met some Christians that do judge and, I pray for them as well. And you know what? I think God is a great guy because if he wasn't, he would have left us in this world of sin to die! But he didn't, instead he sent us a Savior ( his son Jesus!) who died for all sin so that we may not perish but have Eternal Life! And one last thing, please don't let Satan fool you! God does not make a person born homosexual. It is Satan who does that! Some where in that person's life the spirit of homosexuality falls upon them. And only God through the blood of Christ deliver's and set's them free! Well Peace Out -N- God Bless!

I agree with you, just because the bible says something doesn't mean that you have to agree with it...... my religion doesn't believe in homosexuality, but my dad is gay, and how can my dad, who's only fault is loving someone of the same sex be against Christ, and I don't care what anyone else says, I am not going to be swayed, I believe that God does not hate gay people that he made both gay and straight people, and my dad goes to church and follows the laws, so I agree with you , I do not think that homosexuality is a sin

God made man & woman to be together, not man with man or woman with woman. The Bible makes it perfectly clear that that is an abomination to God. In other words it is against His law, and anybody who participates in homosexuality is commiting a grave sin. God gave us all free will, and the people who practice the sin of homosexuality will have to answer for it in the next life. God is merciful but He does have laws & rules to follow. If we don't follow them, then we shouldn't call ourselves Christians.

I think we Christians (I am lumping us all together as a group) worry too much about homosexuality as a sin. There are many sins against God....including homosexuality. I do, however, believe that God accepts us all and invites us all to believe and ask for his forgiveness. I think he is tolerant and loving in all things...but he is also clear that we are to love ourselves and love others (it doesn't say don't love homosexuals or drunks or killers - but everyone). We should practice what we preach. For you, I would say pursue this at a church....you are obviously interested and church is a great place to belong!

To the unenlightened thought, one can live by there own will and endure what life brings to them the best they can without any knowledge of what is really happening in their life.
However, the enlightened thought begins to recognize the face of evil, and realizes how incredibly subtle it is and has been in their lives, and this recognition is the first step in finding a way to eradicate it from the human thought. One can not love two masters, which is to say you can't love God supremely and love sensual pleasures, because you end up hating one. The sensualist ends up loving flesh, something God never made and is not eternal. God is Love, but He condemns lust, as sin is sentenced to die, and no person escapes this judgment or law.

God is a fair and true God. It's sad you could say something like that about God. I hope you find the truth about God before it's to late.

It's easy to say this for me because I have faith that I am in good hands, and i know he has reason for everything. I know God is awesome and fair. I don't waist my time questioning a much powerful being then me. Who created me and came down from his throne to save the world. What I don't understand is how people can trust anyone else that is not Jesus. No other god would ever lower himself to save his people, and God made that scarifies for us.

Before you judge him why don't you get to know him and give him chance. God loves us all and the last thing he wants is for us to go to hell.

Also it's not a religion. Religions are just old customs. It's faith.

God is not " a great guy " He is a holy God. He calls being gay a sin. It's not that a gay should not be Christian, a gay person can't be a Christian.

I don't understand why homosexuality is against Christianity either. I believe that people really are born gay. Other than the few who are just trying to get attention, I think that for some reason it really is just apart of a gay peoples' minds to like the same sex.

Which means that to say homosexuality is against Christianity would be like saying so is being mentally retarded, handicapped, deaf, blind, etc.

It's not natural. He created Eve as a compliment to Adam. He obviously didn't want same-sex couples to be together. Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed mainly because of homosexuality. We can't just pick and choose when we want to follow Bible guidelines. We either obey Him and the rules set out in the Bible, or we don't. Simple as that.

Why christians doesnt understand the concept of God and religion or sin?

What's in ur mind?

Anyway, let me tell u the simplest thing and hope u understand.

God loves goodness, and he only teach goodness and kindness and healty thing to humans. So, u asked why homosexual is a sin?

Homosexual will lead to the problems in lineage and society.
They won't have their own biological kids. Later, kids won't even know who is their true parents. Degradation of humanity and prides. Kids won't have a true family.

Homosexuality leads to sexual desease (Aids etc).

Anyway, even animals are not homosexual!! it shows that homosexual humans are more disgusting than animals!!!

So, why it is sins? To prevent human from hurting their own self and will lead to health, social or genealogy problems.
