I've used Lancome's Dual Finish foundation since I was a teenager. It's really good because you can either put it on dry with the sponge or puff, or you can moisten the sponge for a matte finish. What's nice is that when you travel on a plane, you can also bring it on with your carryon items because it's not liquid. It's not heavy so it shouldn't make you breakout like some other types of foundation.

You can buy it at any major department store in the mall - Macy's, Nordstroms, etc.

Good Luck!

I don't know if you consider Sephora or Ulta a local store, but I will give my 2 cents anyway. I have had acne prone skin my whole life, and I won't wear anything but Bare Escentuals. I might cost a bit more than the other brands, but it lasts much longer, so the costs even out.

bareMinerals is supposed to be free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance and chemicals. The only 'absent' ingredient I would question is the fragrance. Otherwise, it's the lightest makeup I've ever used. There are local stores (34) around the country. You can see a list of the boutiques on their website.

Loreal HIP at the local drug store and anything by Almay (it's non-comedogenic which means no break outs)

But better products at the department store are Mac and Becca.

If you are going cheap then i would say for oily skin try Maybelliene Dream Matte Mousse, for dry skin try CoverGirl TruBlend. If you want to splurge then Clinique has the best foundations.

I've been using NEUTROGENA skin clearing oil-free makeup for years now. It has a blemish treatment (0.5%) Salicylic Acid. I barely break out with this product & it isn't expensive at all either. You can usually find it at any Rite-Aid, Target, or CVS stores.

I would recommend Loreal powder mineral foundation, it's good for your skin and not thick like a cream foundation

Bare minerals. It is made completely out of natural minerals so it wont make your skin break out, and it contains a natural SPF so your skin will also be protected. They sell it at sephora and i am sure that they sell it in other places too!
