You just have to trust. If you don't receive your item, you can file an item not received report to get your money back. Most sellers on ebay are honest. You just have to chech their feedback and if their feedback score is 98.6% positive or above, they should be okay to deal with.

You never know for sure... However a sellers feedback is the best way to determine if he is reputable. I rarely buy anything from someone with less than a 99 % rating. Plus certain sellers have designations such as "Square Dealer".

Look at the person's rating and read the feedback- if they have a lot of negative feedback then it's not a good idea to bid on their stuff.
