I would never hurt a woman for any reason, unless she was a threat to my life. If a guy hits a girl because he's mad, there needs to be some serious consideration as to whether or not he'll be taken back.
Everyone should be forgiven up to a certain point. If he hit you and was instantly apologizing, forgive him. Some people have these wierd violent spasms. If he hit you and just stood there being angry, dump him.
If any type of guy hits you twice within a short period of time, drop him like a hot potato and find somebody else.

I don't hit anybody in a fit of rage.
Why the obsession with violence against women.
You chicks want equality why not ask equal questions like would you hit your husband in a fit of rage? Lots of women do and some husbands just put up with it!
(Whoops just reread that, it's not really equal is it it should read 'spouse' not 'husband')
Anyway, violence against ANYBODY is bad!
Someone who hits out once may not do it again. If you think it won't happen again and it only happened once and you've known him for a long time and he's really sorry, then I think you should forgive him.
BUT if it did just suddenly happen try to find out why it could mark a change that can pose a risk to you eg drugs, steroids, brain damage (eg concussion from a fall) etc.
Love conquers a lot just don't take unnecessary risks with your, AND HIS, life.

The only time a guy should ever hit a woman, is in the last resort effort in self defense when his life is on the line and nothing else can save him, other than that, never. Forgive him, yes, stay with him, no. If he loses it and hits you, then he has anger issues that he needs professional help with. You won't be able to help him. Don't put yourself through that. You deserve better.

no, never. trust me my wife and I used to fight, and I even tried to kick a wall out of the house once in a fit of rage, but hitting her never ever crossed my mind. It should not be forgiven, because it will keep happening.

Answering for me . . . no. I walk first.
Is it worth being forgiven, yes. It must be forgiven or the victim becomes a victim forever. It isn't her fault. What does change is the relationship. She can forgive him without him being near her again.
Personally, I wish they would put the death penalty on men who rape and/or beat women.

Ive been in situations where I WANTED to hit a woman ,but did not. As far as forgiveness, that's up to the woman who is hit to decide.

It depends on the person.I sure wouldn't and if a person has anger problems he/she should be counseled and have anger management problems.you should try alternate methods like counting to ten or the good things of your relationship.the best way to fix something is to sit down and talk it over

No, never. Banish her from my life, yes. But the only time I could see myself hitting a woman is if she was trying to kill me. Then, she's in for a serious thrashing.

I know im not a guy but it has happened to me before..
My husband now beat my *** while I was driving down the road and I completely blacked out with my son in the back seat... He took off running... I moved out but eventually I forgave him.. He forgave me for cheating on him so basically we are even... But no it's not acceptable but if you really love the person and you think that they will change and never do it again then yes forgive them and move on..Never bring it up again... He's never put his hands on me again after that...

NO! I've been hit a few times. I shouldn't have given him a 2nd opportunity. Don't stay in that kind of relationship and/or don't hit!
