You may want to contact Microsoft. Bill and Melinda Gates do a great deal of work and donate to non profits. Also try McDonald House Charities. They usually donate to programs that work with children. Coca Cola, Prudential, Wherever you are locally there must be some companies you can contact. Walmart has a program of giving also. If I knew what area you were in perhaps I could offer more information. God luck.

Most major organizations have a community relations department that specified the guidelines for charitable contributions.

For example, I was recently in a local Best Buy, and they have all of their information about their corporate giving program on their website:

It all depends upon what types of donations you are looking for. Most of the local organizations provide goods and services, while some organizations will provide funding or assist with fundraising activities. For example our local Carl's Jr. Restaurants have some fundraising information on their website, and also provide different giving programs at their individual locations.

There are plenty of opportunities out there with many local businesses. I would recommend researching all of your local community businesses for their corporate giving programs. You can find a lot of information about these programs from the company web sites.

Good luck.

Depending on your area, any of your local businesses that are larger should be able to donate, i.e. Wal-Mart, Sam's, Office Depot, etc. The organization needs to have a 501C-3 form to show that it is a non-profit organization. At least, Sam's used to require the form.
