well, if your definition of hell is a dante's inferno, a place of everlasting torment.. thats a good question.

but as it seems you are using a scriptural reference "all knowing god", I have to say, I dont see in the scriptures; this doctrine that God sends people to a place of everlasting torment.

hell translated from the original text means literally: the grave, state of the unseen, and gehenna (a literal place where they burned garbage - think city dump).

we will all die. a physical death. in many instances in scripture, both old and new testament - the word hell is often speaking of the grave (sheol)

the gift of eternal life isn't an escape from a firey torment, but rather a release from death itself.. a departure from the grave.

i apologize if i answered out of context. hard question if you believe in God, but not in dante's inferno hell.

The all knowing God has given each of us free will. That free will has determined our future. How you say? As creatures of free will it would be an eventuality that some thing would go awry. So God looked into the future and calculated every decision that would take place(including His own) after a Genisis event.
Say, for instance, He put three trees in the garden istead of two. How would that affect Eve's decision if she had an extra tree to think about? Well, God saw through time and saw every decision that followed and decided that would not be the best scenario(save the most amount of people).
So He dicided on two trees instead of three. Now you have to understand every decision you are making in life has been factored at the Genisis event. This means that God has predermined history based on our decisions and the end result will be the salvation of the most amount of people. It is the best possible scenario given the free will of man.

God never makes any creation of His go to hell. This choice is solely the creature of God, not the creator. Love demands of free choice. God is Love and never demands that any created thing love Him without their intimate choice.

Hell is simply the rejection of Love, Total Love.

Hell or Heaven is a freewill choice....one of the things that is not really up to G-d.

But knowing some will go, I would suppose everything needs examples. How would you know jail was a actual penalty unless somebody went?

Because even though He's all knowing, he is also just. He has kindly given each of us free will. He knows what we will choose, but still allows us to make our own decisions. I'm sure he takes no delight in a lost soul.

He made people with free will. Just because he knows that they are going to hell doesn't mean that he makes them go there, anymore than he makes people go to heaven.

Because there is no such thing as hell. The hell fire doctrine is not a biblical teaching.
