I planned to join AFROTC in college, but my dad said he doesn't want it interfering with college. Now my only other route would be going to OTS. My question is how great are my chances of getting accepted? Is the getting accepted into the school the hard part or going through the 12 weeks of training?

in basic training you will get a battery of tests. the scores will indicate if you are officer material. if you are, the AF will ask you to go to ots,
with a degree the likely hood is higher.
ROTC does not interfere with your education, assures you of a commission, and helps with tuition.
at this point, talk to a recruiter with your concerns. they have great info, and are paid to help with these issues.
basic for officers is much easier than for the enlisted. my guess the training.is more difficult. take good study habits in, and there will be no problems. military schools are intense.

WHAT PART OF COLLEGE DOSE HE NOT WANT TO INTERFERE WITH , THE DRINKING,PARTYING OR SEX ???!!! I hate to sound like a jerk (THAT IS A LIE ,I LOVE BEING A JERK) but most fathers would love to have a daughter that wanted to become an OFFICER in ANY of the ARMED FORCES ,jesus!!! getting accepted is a gimmie also an easy A on your transcript ,the hard part will be getting an active duty slot as the AIR FORCE sees the future and they are not taking EVERYBODY ,just the ones they will need but your ROTC advisor can counsul you later on career field choices also you can go the first 3 years WITHOUT contracting and those are some easy A's and some good times with good "SAFE" people

tell him that
ROTC is a support system that works very hard to keep people IN college and not drop out, not to mention ROTC scholarships! rotc does nothing to interfere with college. tell your dad that it is your life, and you will take the class you want to take. if he cuts you off, screw him and take out loans. your life to live not his. otherwise, join the AF reserves or Air National Guard. go to bootcamp in the summer, and then the one weekend/month drills. when you have 60 Semester hours (two years of college), you can do OTS during the summer. then when you finish your bachelor degree, you can go active duty. by that time you will already be a captain.

Degree doesn't really matter much anyways, Just as long as you have one. You have a great chance at getting in. Talk to a recruiter and get the fine details. and READ the fine details and make sure you understand them, dont take his word on it, have him show it to you all in writing.
