God knows all, he knows what it's like to be a mouse, he knows what it's like being a lion. He knows weakness, he knows strength, he knows how it feels to be a winner and loser. You're correct when you say that we are just human and trying to understand the Lord through our eyes is impossible for we are enslaved in our flesh and this physical universe only. The God we seek resides in a different dimension, not comprehensible by our primitive human minds, this dimension is most likely a lot older then the universe we reside in and not even of a physical nature. Everyone knows there is God, he's inside everyone. They know it deep down in their hearts, but many will fail to ever go in that far and are in rebellion, some can not accept God because they have had unfair lives. Know that whatever may happen in this life that you are loved.

I take it you have never heard of personification or using things you are familiar with to describe things beyond our comprehension ie if you were to explain a jet airplane to a person who lives in a remote part of the wporld and never seen one you would use metaphors he is familiar with like it is a big shiny silver bird or a big bird that flies things he can relate to you wouldnt try and start with bernoulis principle as it would not mean any thing to him well the same principle applies in this case we have the same cardinal atributes as our creator just to an infinitely smaller degree get the point like a father and infant son Gorbalizer

Good point!
When we usually think of God as being something outside of ourselves, we attempt to define him/her/it.
It is reasonable to be unable to define or put limits on a creative source that is the all and the everything.
It is unreasonable to assume we understand exactly what the Higher Power is or consists of.

It is also reasonable to assume we don't speak the same language.

Peace!

Because humans have to think they know everything, including and especially God. To say we do not know God is to say we can't possibly be sure where we stand with Him, and that scares the crap out of people.

God is a person--supernatural Person, of course, but...He has all the attributes of personality: Intellect, emotion and volition. And, since we are created in His image, we may attribute human characteristics to Him so that we can relate. It's called accomodation on His part. It helps us relate to the infinite God.

I don't know what those last few words are, but we don't give God attributes, God made us in His image, and so some of the attributes we have are ones that God has, bc we're made in His image.

The Bible tells us we were created in his image and he is our father and as a father he has these emotions that we have, except he is bigger than all that and is doing things we know nothing about, but he did send his Word so we could know what he required!HIS WILL IS PLAIN.

He made us in His image...He is above and beyond us, but we came from Him...
We cannot create a personality for Him--

I will say this again:
If you read the Bible you will realize this!
