I am obviously frustrated with people. I love 'em, but DAMN!!! I am trying to get ideas to help with dealing with the other half of the population. The people that lack an ability to think, and study, and dream... you know... the lazy ones.

I didn't say "How do I get people to be more like me?" I asked, how do I tolerate people who are unwilling to better themselves... who tend to be as muck in the mire (to quote Solomon)... who are so frozen in their own beliefs that everything in their being rebels against what is different...
Thanks for thinking for yourself...

"The people that lack an ability to think, and study, and dream... you know... the lazy ones."

You mean the Fundies.

Yes, we're all frustrated with them. I'm really bad at tolerating morons. In fact, I'm terribly impatient and easily annoyed when I encounter stupidity. I have been told two cliches to help cope: "Don't sweat the small stuff." and "Just breath." Apparently they work for other people.

I dealt with three of the terms you described WITH nihilism. Not the believing in nothing, but believing most everything isn't worth it. That way most people aren't worth worrying over and can easily be ignored. It seems that ignorance and stupidity are too stuck in their ways to change these days or are too lazy to change.

You can also try misanthropy too.

i do no longer think of stupidity is often something that the guy has administration of. Its a made of their innate psychological skill and the psychological training (or lack thereof) they won. So I truly tend to experience somewhat greater compassionate then for people who're willfully ignorant yet look otherwise able mentally. beneficial the two could be stressful while the top result impacts you in detrimental techniques and you are able to desire to handle their lack psychological skill and catch up on them. I truly have lots of tolerance and staying power with mentally handicapped people who will by no skill have the skill to intellectually technique issues the comparable as others yet who're working to the suited of their very own skill in existence. no longer lots with the fool who has mastered the complexities of consistently bilking workers comp for carpal tunnel syndrome yet can not have the capacity to paintings the photocopier and leaves it with paper jammed every time they use it. Or the fool that proclaims they do no longer could desire to disprove evolution to no longer have faith it yet somewhat like atheists they disbelieve simply by fact there is not any data for it. What rock do you are able to desire to have crawled under to make a declare like that? in case you are able to study you may understand greater effective except you purposefully in simple terms demonstrate your self to factors of view that coincide on your guy or woman. human beings like Dr. Head are annoying. He claims he's "fairly sensible" and yet has made some somewhat lame statements at here as certainty. Jesus between the main documented historic figures of all time?? Please.

be patient and pray for more patience. attempt to use the point of view of how can I help this person not what is wrong with him. It is also helpful to know that the faults we find in others are the faults we have in ourselves. Jesus said in the sermon on the Mount found in Matt. starting in 5 or 6 "before you try to take the splinter out of your brothers eye take the log out of your own.

Accept people where they are! Accept that maybe you are not going to change them, leave that to others! Once, you accept people for where they are, the chance of growth, knowledge, and friendship will occur and maybe tolerance will gain a chance.

Acceptance is the answer to your question.

In other words, people who don’t think like you? Am I getting warm? Try accepting people for who they are instead of insisting that they think and act like you.

why is it your job to educate others by criticizing their ignorance or lack of desire to to spam their thinking....live your life like a blank book that wants to keep filling its pages and hope that someone along the way, wants to peek inside and read some of your pages.

Change yourself.....its the only way to change others I have found, is to change who you are. Then you see them with new eyes. One cannot change others, but you can go insane trying.

you can easily ignore them. it's okay to show respect, but if respect is not given in return, why suffer yourself with disrespect from those people?
