no, because that relationship would never led to anything. One quality I look for in a partner is someone who is on the same intelligence level as me.

It's not about a person's disability, if you love some one and the other person loves you, that's the only thing that should matter regardless what other people may say or think. The other people aren't living your life, so they have no say so on what you do! Only you have that choice. If this is what you feel please by all means, go for it. Follow your heart. That's all that matters just as long as you and the other person of your life is happy.

This may sound cold, but no, I would not. Having someone in my life who is kind and loving is important, but also important to me is having someone who can open my mind to new things and ideas, someone who can challenge my thinking. In my opinion then, this person would have to be either on my level or more intelligent. (please people dont kill me on this, I am not trying to be rude here---just honest). I really do not mean to offend anyone....it is just the type of people I choose to date.

no because i would want someone who had the same capacity as i did...and many mental problems seriously hold people back in life.plus...i can find a very kind and loving person who isn't mentally disabled.

maybe

I AM a mentally disabled person.

I would not judge her. I would base the decision on who and how she is. Not on any label. If I like being with her then I would. We all have flaws.

It depends on the person age and degree of disability. And if you think the person can comprehend feelings of love. If your close in age and you feel you wouldn't be taken advantage of this person i would definitely date him/her.

it depends really. You will go through a lot of things if you decide to date or even be with them. Anyway, if you feel comfortable and willing to take the risk, go for it. Its ok to give you both a chance!

It would be hard for me, because I'm normally not a really patient person, but I would't hold it against him and if he was kind I would try my best to work through it.
