I doubt it's anything. Breast cancer is usually painless. I would try putting warm wet compresses to the area several times a day for 15-20 minutes at a time, and see if it doesn't help the abscess or whatever it is drain. If it doesn't within a week, I would pay the money to see an ob/gyn just to have him/her take a look. Your peace of mind is worth a lot!

By answering this question, I assume that you did a Self Breast-Examination after 7-10 days from the beginning of your menstrual cycle.
A bump in your breast can be caused by hormonal changes inside your body. That's why it's best to to do BSE a week after your menstrual cycle began. Any lump is definitely worth getting check by your physician and you may wait for that health insurance on Jan. 22 if you want. While your waiting observe the bump closely. Your physician may ask you additional details for the past weeks it's been sitting there. I wish you good luck.

Is the bump red on the outside? It could be a number of non serious things, ingrown hair, pimple, etc.. But then it could also be very serious. I know if the bump moves around it is more likely a non cancerous cyst. But if you try to move it and it doens't move around then it will need to be checked by sonogram or mammogram. Just call your doctor or maybe you could go into a health clinic that wouldn't charge much to check it.

Hi Jessica, I'm a cancer survivor and I think you're scared and worried. I would wait until you have the insurance because it's not that far away to make that much of a difference.
The lump could be anything, clogged milk duct, small cyst, fibrotic changes, infection, etc. The doctor will probably do an exam and send you for either a mammogram or ultrasound just to be sure what it is.
Try not to worry and good luck.

sure, whilst i became 40 seven i became checking myself and that i got here across a lump, no person in my family participants has had breast maximum cancers so i became alarmed, thankfully it became no longer malignant and early detection meant that I had the lump bumped off and that i'm effective, yet I even have been warned to no longer quit checking, i encourage my daughters to learn generally too, even however the youngest is barely 19 i think that in case you initiate early and comprehend what your breast seems such as you're extra probable too %. up any adjustments early.

You could probably wait until the 22 to have it checked, but I definetely would have it looked at. As a breast cancer survivor, I know the importance of having lumps, bumps checked.

do you have a family history of breast cancer?...if so, you might want to get it checked out earlier. Also, if it really is bothering you a lot, get it checked out earlier, but make sure to set an appointment as early as possible (to get that date on the 22nd)
