Your cervix dilates and opens through the process of labor pains. The baby moves down out of the uterus and through the birth canal and out through the vagina. The vagina stretches and some doctors do a cut. However, some do allow a woman to tear, very painful. I hope this answer was helpful. God bless****

You dilate so that the baby can fit, but at times the doctor will cut you to prevent a tear, and there are other times that when the baby will not come out of there at all and you need to have a c-section

It depends on the individual woman and the doctor. It isn't your vagina that is cut anyways. It's the perineum and sometimes it has been known to rip if it isn't cut due to the head size of the baby.

The baby usually will fit, but often a new mother will tear a little or get an episiotomy (sp?) (a snip). In my case I tore a lot because my daughter had to be suctioned out as she was stuck in the birth canal.

Yes the baby will fit, your vagina will stretch to about 10 centimeters, which the baby can easily slide through, every once in a while tears happen but they can heal easy too. no cutting is envolved unless you choose cesarian

It all depends how small you are and how big your baby is. Most cases the doctor does have to cut.

sometimes it fits sometimes it doesnt. i know someone that had it really easy and the baby just slipped out. another of my friends, had to have 13 stitches. i guess it depends on the size of the vagina and the size of the babys head

The vagina can expand during childbirth. Included in that is a high risk of...there's no light way to say it...tearing that can occur.

Babies are made to fit through there, most of the time. Sometimes they will have to cut you to make delivery easier, sometimes they won't. You can ask them not to cut you.
