Yes you can still have water.
Do not eat anything or drink anything other than water.
Also, if you are getting labs done and if you are a smoker, that may effect the results. So, if you smoke, don't do that either until the blood test is completed. I know that if you are getting checked for diabetes smoking will raise your sugar levels.

Yes, in fact I was told by my Doctor and the technician that draws the blood to drink plenty of water before the blood is drawn. The water plumps up the veins and makes it easier to insert the needle, and has absolutely no effect on the blood test results.

If it is for a 12 hour glucose fasting test,yes not a problem as long as it's plain water,not a sweetened one.

Yes, water & other CLEAR liquids are o.k.
Coffee with NO cream, tea, water, jell-o, etc. Basically anything you can see through is acceptable. Eating prior to a blood draw causes the blood to become lypemic (clouded with lypase) which usually leads to abnormal or invalid results.

Yes, but only water. Actually drinking alot of water would be helpful b/c it helps to hydrate your veins making it easier for the nurse to do an easy stick.

yes you can drink water, water will not affect it or black coffee or tea as long as you put nothing in it. i asked my doctor he told me this~ hope it helped!
