It depends.. If the machine gives you the impression that time flies by much faster when you are working on it, then there are several already in existence. They look like airplanes, motorcycles, cars, washing machines,,, etc. If you are looking for a machine that can travel back in time... It isn't going to happen with the current state of technology. I do not foresee anything taking place in the next few hundred years.

With current knowledge and technology, it might soon be possible to travel forward to the future by going into some kind of stasis or hibernation that stops your body from aging and stops all brain activity until you are awakened. While not technically a time machine, from your personal perspective it will be equivalent to travelling forward in time. However, going back to the past would be impossible so if you don't like the future you find yourself in, your only other choice would be to keep moving forward...

If time machines were possible, someone from the future would already be here showing us how to build one. Since they're not here, the odds of creating a time machine are zero.
