Been with a guy for 5 years and broke up with him but we seem to talk everyday on the phone like nothing has happened...I don't know how to be nice about telling him we shouldn't talk as much...I still love him and care for him, but I have to move on..Plus he pays for the phone I feel guiltly if I don't talk to him when he calls..And I won't be able to get out of the contract for another 2 years..What do I tell him..I don't want to just not answer his calls, that seems a little harsh...HELP!!!

Just tell him, honesty is the best policy. If he cancels the phone then just get it in someone elses name!

You have to tell him how you feel. He probably still pays for the phone so you have to talk to him.
You'll also probably have to get him to cancel the contract. Don't just keep talking to him because he pays for the phone..this is your life.
He's going to be hurt either way, why lead him on anymore? It's time for the BOTH of you to move on & let go.

Since he is paying for the phone, I see no problem with you cancelling the contract and getting your own. Paying for the phone is his way of controlling you and as long as he keeps doing this, he feels he is entitled to talk to you as often as he wants. Send him a message and secure your independence by getting your own.

Tell him, you've moved on, it's not right and then, start evading the calls. I mean, get some guy with a really tough voice to pick up and ask him who he is the first few times he calls. That should do it.

for future reference nevre let a guy pay for a utility.

Now he is paying for the phone and your under contract but have broken up, sooffer to pay for thebill. When he says I don't ind say but we've broken up and I feel kinda guilty about it and don't klet him talk you out of it. Remind him you are broken up nd he doesn't have to pay your bills. Then next time theres a friendly convo, talk to him aobut a guy that asked you out ( real or not) thhis will show his true intentions.

good luck

give him the phone. If he is paying for it, and you don't want to keep talking, then it would only be right for you to return the phone, or start paying for it yourself, then just let him know how it is. If he still won't leave it be, then you'll have to take stronger actions.

i dont see the problem with still talking to him. if ur worried about not being able to get over him, why did u break up in the first place?

quit him cold turkey. tell him you'd like to stay friends but you dont think you can right now because youre trying to move on. maybe sometime in the future you two can be friends again if you feel that will benefit your life.
