if you live in the US, of course you will. my best friend only spoke plautdietsch when she came to school, and now her german is really good.(i live in germany.) so i think if you work on your english you'll make it

That all depends on how old you are. If you are going to elementary school then High school and/or College you English will be as perfect as a person born here. You are actually lucky as you will be speaking two languages. The one you mother teaches you and the one you will learn at school.

Yes. My mom doesn't speak English at all and I still learned English. Guess where? At school and with my friends.

You will if really want to and should learn the language of country plan to live and when do learn teach your mother as she has done things to make your life easier, now your turn to make things easier for her and speaking the language of your neighbors would certainly do that.

if you are going to school at this time you should be able to speak the language correctly once you finish, but i wouldn't worry about it too much, at least half of the popluation doesn't speak English correctly, and btw colleges, jr colleges, community colleges and libraries usually have ESL programs for free that run through out the year
