This is a Finnish translation of the Swedish original text, so although I don't know Finnish I can give you the Swedish text in a literal translation to English:
"Yule night of the elves" [or gnomes, or brownies... there were "tomtenissar" long before they became Santa's little helpers]]

:D those translators usually fail in Finnish, but if you enter a song, they surely seem to make up some funny results... Anyways, I'll try to translate, but the phrases used are a bit complicated to translate literally, and the rhymes... Oh well, let's see what I can make out of this:
Christmas night of the elves
"Torches go out, all the people are asleep, people are asleep.
All the movement (all the work?) in the house disappears into the shadows of the night, the movement disappears.
Tip-tap, tip-tap, tipe-tipe, tip-tap, tip, tip, tap! (These are not actual words, they are sounds describing how the elves are walking/sneaking... So they can't really be translated.)
Then a group of elves on it's toes, on it's toes

Christmas food is offered by the good people (of the house?), by the good people,
