It all depends, for some people other's realities are dreams and other peoples dreams are someones reality.
For instance, a person who is pretty well of with enough money to feed there family is a reality for some people, while it is a dream for others. A person dreams to be a rich famous actress or actor, while that is a few peoples reality.

Some dreams can turn into reality, like it happened in some cases in the Bible. But I don't think reality is a dream. Reality is something that is real, it is undaunted by fiction and has a sense of existence. Reality cannot turn into a dream. Have you ever witnessed an event happen THEN dream about what just happened? It may have happened but that's just your mind thinking an evaluation of what has happened. it isn't your reality turn into a dream. It happens in life and cannot turn into a dream-- that's why it's called reality-real! dreamless!

I think it's both...
Reality is but a dream whilst we sleep and in this time, our dreams are reality.

dream the one who starts living
dream the one who toils and pretends
dream the one who greives and offends
and in the world, in conclusion,
everyone dreams what they are
even tough no one understands it.
I dream that i dwell in here
burdened with those chains
but i dreamt that in another state
happier and more free i lived
what is life? an ilusion
a sahadow, a fiction
and the greatest possession is small
cause all life is a dream
and dreams are just dream
o my god!!!! this is a self made horrible translation of one of the most important literary works of all times, la vida es sueño (life is a dream) from Calderon de la Barca

SHEEIT DUDE, I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU GOT THAT QUESTION FROM, BUT EVER SINCE I WATCHED THE ENTIRE MATRIX TRILOGY AND THEN CHECKED OUT LIKE 2-3 BOOKS ON THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND IT ALL, I'VE BEEN ASKING MYSELF THAT QUESTION. I DONT BELIEVE IN A GOD OR AN ANTI-GOD, SO I PERSONALLY HAVE NO IDEA, GODDAMN, I WISH I KNEW THOUGH, MY BEST GUESS IS THAT WHEN WE DIE, WE'LL WAKE UP IN THE "REALITY", EITHER FOR ETERNITY, FOR A COUPLE SECONDS, OR WE'RE REINCARNATED, THATS MY THEORY. SO PRETTY MUCH I BELIEVE WE'RE ALL LIVING IN A DREAM, AND REALITY IS WAKING UP FROM THIS DREAM...NO IM NOT A PSYCHO, I'VE STUDIED UP ON THIS PHILOSOPHY. MAY I SUGGEST: "LIKE A SPLINTER IN YOUR MIND", THE PHIOSOPHY BEHIND THE MATRIX, VERY INTERSTING, CHECK IT MAN. PEACE.

Dreams are real only as long as they last. Couldn't you say the same for life?

I think we are stuck in a place that is a temporary zone where you must go through trials and tribulations to deserve to go back to your true life that you visit when you dream. Once you die, you finally get to go back to your true life.
I'm serious, and I pray it's true.
