Actually, it sounds to me like your male cat is trying to take over the dominant role as far as being the leader of the household so to speak. He's trying to get your female cat to be submissive and step down. It has happened with my cats. Miss Viper was the dominant cat in the household because she was older and Mr. Runt tried to take over that role by bullying her. It's when he realized that I was taking her side and would tell him no in a stern voice every time I caught him bullying that he stopped. Eventually, he'll get the point. Also every time your female cat does get bullied. Pick her up and pet her. Spend some time with her and reassure her that everything is okay. Chances are she'll get sick of his crap sooner or later and strike back at him. Which in turn will cause him to back down.

If ur cat is old she should be left alone so maybe make her, her own area where she can escape from him. Like a room or somewhere in the watchfull eye of someone.

Maybe ur cats just dont get along. We find people we can get along with & others we cant, it is the same for the cats.

How long hav they been together?

Well gd luck

He is establishing his dominant position with the other cat. I suggest that you feed them separately and give them separate spaces for the time being. If one cat is in the living room, put the other cat in another room. Interchange spaces frequently. This way, the dominant cat will feel less "cramped in" by another cat in case that is his present problem. Once he is assured again that there is plenty of space and plenty of food, he'll hopefully leave the submissive cat alone.

How long have you had the cats? It sounds like they may not be compatible if you have had them for a while. If one is new, the other is just thrying to show dominance and this should resolve. If not you may have to find a new home for one of them.

If nothing is wrong with him such as any injuries internally or externally, it's quite possible that they're just never going to get along and that one has to go. :( I'm sorry.
