i cant get my scanner to work.its brand new and all software it came with is installed..its a 3in1 hp?

the scanner is a 3 in 2 printer copier and scanner... i can scan pictures onto paper but not onto the computer.. all of the software it came with is installed.. i got it do to everything else but scan to comp.. any help please????

I've always had difficulty with scanning into my computer with my hp all in one scanner. What seems to work is to go to Control Panel, Scanners and Cameras, open the scanner and follow the instructions. I have made a shortcut on my desktop to make it easier to get to the scanner this way.
