btw: the chocolate chip cookie is actually the most favorite food of the squirrel.

they hang out with the other squirrels at the country club. i've seen some vacationing in hawaii. they're actually good surfers. those little guys can go!! the older ones like a good pick up game of croquet or lawn bowling. syncronized swimming is a big hit with the over 50 squirrels

Many things we do in life turn into a learning experience, but activities are supposed to be fun, doing things they enjoy. Kids NEED to be kids, there is plenty of time for learning. The only thing that is a waste of time is anything one is forced to do because of someone else's views, or because someone thinks play is a waste of time. Even during play we learn.

around here they have been going to school...popping in thru the bathroom vents and tearing up the classrooms and having snacks and leaving calling cards
one chased a teacher down the hall after class late one afternoon
then they all gathered around and had a memorial service for a departed one and had a burial in the ceiling of the second grade classroom
