yes- mute people don't use their vocal cords because of injury or other reasons. A burp is a is gas and that sound is not caused by their vocal cords.

yes because burping is just air coming up and it makes a sound. some people use their vocal chords to emphasize the burp, but you don't have to. so, yes they can.

Yes. They may not be able to talk, but their bodily functions still continue. You won't hear a burping noise though.

i would guess yes. doesn't seem to have much to do with vocal cords from what I've heard! lol
