do guys really like petite women, about 5' to 5'3 or are you guys like uh not for me. I know a lot of you will say well it depends on personality and all of that which is good but the truth from you all, why do you guys like petite women so much? im petite, 5' and my good friend is pretty tall, shes around 6' and has a great personality but can hardley ever get a guy to give her a look or go out with her. we asked a good guy friend why this was and he said because of her height. so do you guys like women that are petite, if so why? the truth.

I like all kinds of women, but especially petite ones. There is something feminine about being petite. I also am not hung all that huge, so maybe part of me thinks a smaller woman will feel me better!
Guys typically like tall women too, but not if they're as tall or taleer than they are.

I prefer shorter women to taller women. Generally speaking, men do not want a woman who is taller than they themselves are, so being an extremely tall woman can be a disadvantage for that reason. I would be reluctant to pursue a girl who was taller than me.
If the guy is taller than the girl no matter what, then being significantly shorter than him may be somewhat disadvantagous since a huge difference in heights can seem a bit odd.
Being 5'7 myself I have no problem whatsoever with girls 5' or less.

My wife is very petite at 4"10" she is very attractive. Before her I dated a woman who was 6 feet tall. She was very beautiful and did some modeling. I believe there are all types of beautiful women in all shapes and sizes.
It sounds like you are pretty young, I bet it changes for your friend in college.

you can't stereo type what guys do and don't want. If she is 6' then she will definetely stand out - possibly intimidating many of the males in the area. I am only 5'10" but find no hassles in dating taller women, then again I guess I don't need to have the power play that occurs when there is a height difference.

Some guys like the smaller, more petite women because it gives them a false sense of power over them. Insecure guys feel intimidated by women bigger than them. When your friend finds a guy who is self-confident and secure in himself, that will be the one she wants.

Petite women are great in our era. An era where the greatest epidemic we will have to face other than global warming is obesity. This might be very personal for me, but I really like the delicate features petite women have in contrast with their other counterparts.

Simple Truth: Men like to feel like they are in charge in some way. If a woman is towering over a man, it makes him feel pretty insignificant.
Example: Your dad is yelling at you for leaving without telling him. You did no terrible things when you were gone. You tower over him by about 5 inches. You can bet that yelling is not as effective when he has to look up at you.
It is not shallow of men to not want tall women, it is just a matter of the man looking more like a kid when compared to the woman.

I dont no why but for some reasons us guys just arent as in to taller women. Shorter women usuually look a little cuter. Not saying your friend isnt good looking but I dont know when the girl is shorter than the guy seems to like her more. I know this really didnt answer your question but i hope it helped.

Variety is the spice of life....i've dated a girl that was 4'11 and i've dated a girl that was 6'4. it's all about the way the girl looks... if given a choice i'd go for the tall girl.... There's nothing better than a girl with long shapely legs. It all boils down to the way she looks.....short or tall, if she's pretty, guys will hit on em...
