I think that in the comfort of our homes it's very easy to say "no way would I back down" Only when faced with that situation will I truly know.
Case in Point: Peter in the new testament, who denied Christ 3 times when afraid for his life, who later went on to become one of the strongest of the disciples.

Why would I back down? I'd be kneeling before Him and giving Him praise. If I backed down, that would mean I was not faithful to Him; that I lacked faith and didn't believe in the first place. Nope - wouldn't back down.

Jesus is that strong to hold us on our feet when we would fall flat on our face. I do not trust in my faith I trust in him. My trust and belief in him is my faith.

I'm not sure what you mean by backing down? You mean would I deny my Christ? Heavens no!! But perhaps in not too many years....we may be given that chance...to test our faith. I pray I will pass the test!
