The best thing you can do is research the breed description. I took one of those test a while back and the breeds it suggested for me I would not own if they were giving them away for free. I think the test is pretty generalized depending on the answers it suggest the same breed over and over.

They all suck!! I enter information KNOWING that I have and want Newfies...you know GIANT, HAIRY, HAVE A LOT OF SPACE....all the things that you would say to be matched with a NEwf, and they always say Poodle, AFGAN, Bovier!!!! All breeds I would NEVER in a million years get!!!!!

Go here. It is the site for the American Pom Club. They have the best info about that breed and if it is right for you.

http://www.americanpomeranianclub.org/

Alot of the sites that have the "test" are sponsored by dog food companies.......I don't think I would count on them for REAL breed knowledge!!!!!

Good for you for researching your dog before getting it!

Here is some information on Poms, as well as a dog-compatibility test:

http://www.akc.org/breeds/pomeranian/index.cfm

http://www.americanpomeranianclub.org/

http://www.americanpomeranianclub.org/member_roster.htm

http://www.akc.org/future_dog_owner/about_buying_a_dog.cfm

http://www.wonderpuppy.net/choose.htm

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/search.htm

http://www.petstation.com/whatdog.html

Sometimes those tests can mean nothing because if you are set on a Pomeranian and have educated yourself on the breed, you may have found the perfect dog for you.
www.petfinder.com also has listings of poms in need of good homes if you are willing to rescue.

Taking those tests for fun is fine, but don't base a decision on it.

Many of those tests tell anyone who wants a medium sized, low shedding, quiet dog that won't be too active should get a Whippet. They don't tell the fact that they have a very high prey drive and cannot be let off lead, or that they are not very trainable, or that they tend to have seperation issues, etc.
