I am not a Pom owner, but as a child we had one...I also groom 3 of my friends Poms. Poms have a double coat. ALL dogs shed...some worse than others...You will wear your dog to work or school. As far as house breaking, each dog is different, so to say that a specific breed is easier to house break over another is not fair the the "other" breeds. I can say that Rottweilers are the easiest breed to house break because ours was completely housebroke at only 13 weeks old (seriously he was), but how many Rottweilers were 6 months or more? On the other hand...our Great Dane was 5+ months old before he began to "tell" us he needed to go outside. Your Pom will house break according to the schedule you have him on. I was a stay at home mom when our (now passed) Rotti was a puppy. I now have a M-F job with the Great Dane and was not home to let him out every 30 min.
I know this went above and beyond your question, so if this is not what you wanted, I apologize.
Good Luck

As a former Pomeranian owner - I can say with brushing out every few days the shedding isn't bad . They do have a double coat and will shed twice once their winter coat in mid spring and then their summer coat in the fall. After the winter we took ours to the groomer for a wash, heavy brush out to remove all the thick undercoat and good trimming. They are fairly easy to house break if you are consistent just like a child they need a routine.

Yes, shed worse than a sheepdog... I've made pillows with Pomeranian hair as stuffing. My vacuum cleaner has run screaming for relief. I have a little platter in my kitchen that says:
"Everything tasts better with dog hair in it." But, I had 6 of them then. Thats a lot of hair. With one or two it wasn't so bad.
But, I digress.... as with any dog, sheding problems can be negated by a regular grooming schedule. Daily brushing helps... but still, (groan) they shed. I wouldn't have it any other way though. I love Poms.... if they were as big as their hearts, they'd be the size of a house. And, yes, with patients and consistancy, they are easily house trained. Mine learn to use a doggie door fairly quickly.

They are very hairy but do not shed more than the average dog! If you will set a certain time to let them out then they will become used to those times and will regulate their body to that- but do not except any animal to hold it more than 6 hours a day! Yes my sis has three poms and they are very beautiful and learning this same tech!

Yes. Our pom turns our black rug white with his fur. He needs brushing like every day.
No they aren't easy to housebreak because most people spoil them.
