They grow back but very slowly.as a kid I used to pull my lashes and it took about 3 yrs to grow them back.

Hair follicles all over the body grow for a while (weeks or months) and then take a rest. The hair falls out. Then the hair starts growing again. Eyelashes are the same. Wikipedia has a very good article:

I trimmed my lashes when I was a teen ager because I thought my long eyelashes were making me look too cute or even feminine. Now I realize they would have prolly attracted a lot more ladies. No, they never have grown out or gotten as long as they were back then!
Course I cut them shorter, did not PLUCK them, but maybee if I had, they would grow back fuul length?

some hair on your body,don't grow continually,if eyelashes grew,can one imagine how long they would get to be?

i think it would depend on the reason they fell out...but usually they would grow back
