At college I feel like I am normal, but when I come home I feel so fat around my skinny family.

k- just a few words of clarification- so I don't get anymore asshole comments I really am asking this question in all honesty- I am not "fishing for complements" or 'bragging" in anyway. I have never known someone who posted questions to get compliments. The reason why I am asking is because I've been called fat by my family since I was little, and they asked me if I put on some weight at school and I was humiliated over Christmas. So- if you think I am just
"bragging" keep your comments to yourself.

i'd say u werent fat. but most often ur weight means nothing. someone can weight 130 and still look stick skinny but have tons of muscle which adds to the weight. or someone could weigh 110 wear the same size as the 130 lb girl and look just as skinny but have no muscles. it really depends on ur measurements and the overall appearance of ur body to judge whether or not someone is overweight. i say if u feel good then u will look good. dont worry about how u look around ur family.. be proud of ur body!

No, your weight numbers are pretty healthy looking. If you have questions concerning health issues, you should talk to your doctor. Many people think they are fat, including myself, because you are around others that influence you. I am 19 yrs. old, 5'5 and 139-140. and I wear a size 7 or 9 in jeans.My doctor says I am extremly healthy ( looking wise and health wise) I am happy to say, the way you described yourself is fine. I would not lose weight, meat on the bones is okay, I hate when people get to skinny. Be yourself, natural, and love your body babe. God Bless.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

i'm afraid to ask you if you are serious, but i try to take everyone seriously. your BMI is 21.3. which is really normal. here's a guide to show you:
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
Sometimes I think we as women think we need to lose weight, when maybe what we really mean is we want to tone up. If even after the hard evidence you still feel "fat" try something like pilates to give you a toned look that would only give someone severely confused the gumption (i like that word) to call you fat

Give me a break. At 22 years old you should have better things to do than to spend time fishing for compliments from a bunch of absolute strangers. Develop some self-esteem, and if you don't like the way you look, do something about it.

You don't sound fat at all. I feel the opposite way you do. At school I always feel uncomfortable and fat, but when I'm with my family I'm more comfortable. At least when I'm not being compared to my tiny sisters.
The main goal for a person is to just be comfortable with themselves.

You are definately NOT fat, that is what you should weigh. Being too skinny is gross, so don't lose weight. Your family is skinny, but being your height, age, and weight is normal, there is nothing wrong with your weight. It's a healthy weight and you should maintain that.

That's about my height and weight.. I'm not fat. Maybe you just need definition. Try jogging and lifting light weights.
