How much PDA is too much? i know that some people tend to go overboard and i find it uncomfortable. I'm just wondering where the line is. I mean, leaning on one another is fine in my book, but what goes too far?

Now I don't mind a little public display of affection (you know it lets others know that he is mine and don't touch him), but I would have to say I would draw the line at the serious kissing part and caressing. All of that is not necessary.

We did a poll a while back, and it surprised me that it worked out at about 50/50 for those who did like PDAs -v- those who it made uncomfortable, I'm in the latter category.

Basically I'm not for anything you wouldn't do with a really close friend. Why? It makes *other* people uncomfortable, and would you want to do that if you have any social sense at all?

So in my world: hugs - ok. Quick kiss - ok. Genuine, non-overtly-sexual affection - ok. Kissing in a sexual way or touching bodies in a sexual way - not ok.

I see it as respecting the people around you, - I see that as a responsibility - and as good manners by not putting them in a situation where they are in full view of it.

That's purely my own opinion, and I'm sure there are plenty out there that will be more than happy to disagree.

Well there's Public displays and Perverted displays that the voyeurs would all love to see.

I think when it gets to petting, playing tonsil hockey for more than a minute, kissing where the two start rubbing on each other or when the couple start going after the neck or other body part that's not on the face with recklessness, that's where the line is drawn.

Hey, I like all that stuff. I just don't think others need to watch two people dry hump each other.

When they are haveing a big makeout session in the middle of the club. I'm not against a little PDA. But camn when peeps start thinking... Those 2 really should get a room, thats the line.

For me PDA is/has been on hold for five years! FIVE!! Cheer coaches are strict! Heavy making out was designed for couches at home (not the furnature store) just hugs + kisses in public. Hey, you don't want people to think you're a whore!

It becomes to much once nudity is involved, because that is illegal. Up till that point I am fine with it. Just because other people are uncomfortable with their sexuality, doesn't mean I or anyone else should restrain ourselves so they don't become offended. If they don't like it, too bad. They have muscles in there neck. Look away. LOL

There is affection....and then there's sex. Affection is for any place, any time....sex is for private places and private times. I'm a very affectionate person and am always doing things like scratching my sweetie's back, touching him briefly on the arm or hair, giving him quick little smooches, things like that and I love walking holding hands with him (actually it's more like holding onto his pinkie because he has big ole hands, but I'm not going to share intimacy with the whole damn world watching.

When the leaning turns into pressing against each other. When the hands start to travel into private zones. When your little kisses turn into lustful, spit swapping, tongue down the throat adventures.

i think that gettin it on in the middle of the street might be
pushin it abit.(sorry for the pun).

the in bounds pda would incude holding hands cuddling up close on the bus or movie theater, kissing afectionetly
is fine unless its the deep touchy feely panting type.

Leaning is fine. Whipping it out and sneaking it under her skirt from the rear is a bit much. As-s grabbing can be too much at funerals and weddings, and wrapping one's hands around ti-ts from the back is definitely gauche. It depends on the context.
