you can't get them for free, that would be illegal, check out
openoffice.org

it is a program that a couple of guys created and offer for free that allows you to open and use these products. The ONLY drawback about using these programs is that other people can't open these items without also using the same program. So if someone sends you a document written in Microsoft Word, you can open it, read it, and change it. But if you then send it back to them it is now in "open officce" format. meaning they can not then reopen it using Word. They would have to have openoffice as well.

Legally you cannot. Illegally I dont know. Technically speaking you will not get Office 2003 to work on Windows ME. What I would do if I were you is download OpenOffice. Its legal, free and will run on ME. It will read and write all formats of Office files

Next, I would probably get a new PC or at least dump Windows ME. It was the WORST Micro$oft OS ever made and people who run it now only add to the problem. Even 98 would be an upgrade.

Legally this is impossible, but if you aren't hung up on the brand name www.openoffice.org offers a 100% free, totally compatible alternative. I've used Open Office for a few months now and aside from some very minor differences I think it is great.

Don't steal MS Office. Instead, download OpenOffice ( http://www.openoffice.org ), which does everything that MS Office does, but is free!

Edit: OpenOffice reads and writes MS Office files flawlessly, so it's no problem to exchange documents between OpenOffice and MS Office users.

For free, it would be illegal. You must pay to legally have it.
