I say if you have the opportunity to go, do it. Life is short and you don't stay young forever. 400-800 euros is not going to make a huge impact on your savings and is definitely not worth losing the memories and experiences that come along with traveling.

I would say that going is an awsome idea, but that you should probably find a more secure way to go. Cashing in on your retirement is never a great idea. But if it's all the way in September I would say that's far enough away where you can find other ways to save for it. If you put a hundred or two away each month until then you'll have more than enough to take a trip, and won't have to jepordize your future.

But I do think it's important to do things like this while you still can. It isn't always easy for someone to take a trip like this when they get older in life. House payments and children and other obligations get inthe way. Take this opportunity while you can.

if you are cashing in part of your retirement, that doesnt sound like a good idea. i guess it depends on how much of your retirement this is. if it is a huge chunk, then no. you should wait another year or so and then go. if it is small, then take the trip and enjoy yourself.
