If the original adaptor is still intact from the factory radio, get a wiring harness adaptor from your local car audio store for that year/make/model of your vehicle and style of new stereo. If there's just open wires, I'd suggest purchasing a Haynes manual, it has all the wire diagrams for your vehicle with colors and what does what. To hook up speakers properly, look at what color the wires are on the back of all the speakers and find the corrosponding colors where it hooks to the deck. There are three main wires you need to identify to get the deck working: the ground wire (most of the time black), the ignition wire (most of the time yellow), and the battery wire (most of the time red). If there aren't those colors available, use a voltmeter (buy at a local parts store) to test which wire is under power with the engine off. That'll be your power wire. Turn the engine to "on" (you don't have to start it), and again use the voltmeter to find the ignition wire. Likely, there'll be the speaker wires and the ground wire left, corrospond the speaker wires, and your ground wire should be left. Connecting wire to wire, do NOT use butt connectors, they reduce your electrical quality. I suggest using twist connectors, size up the wire for the correct connector.

please take it to a shopping center pro shop, call and get an estimate but u can't begin to understand how fragile the harness in you car is til you fry it, and you even get lucky and get it to work there are the tunings and lights and ignitions controls and internal events don't seem to happen if the wire is missing to do the programing to, it will kinda end up a one station everytime your start the car, weird but it teaches don't buy from anyone who is not an installer will keep u from buying someones else problem, there are top of the line stuff in every thrift store but brain boxes don't like things they can throw a three hundred dollar fit in a heart beat, and if u got a burglar alarm i would sell those nightmares be fore i would ever try to work the schematics that Detroit neither intended to have in there cause they fail over resistance & time

If you don't know then get someone to help or to do it completely. To be safe. I done it once in an old 110. it turned out great, but then I did it in a dodge pick up, and lets just say that well... it was bad. i had my brother help me and he ended up in ER.
