Neither happy or sad. I understand that the Iraqi people have a need to do this. There views on life differ from ours. Saddam's real punishment is not his death, but his life hereafter, for he has much to learn of life and pay back the last farthing, and that will keep him busy for a long time.

Sad? Yes, but only because of what he did to all of the helpless people under his blanket of hell.
Happy? Yes, because it's time that he can never have a chance again to be in power. This means that one less evil person is on earth.
I think it gives many families closure on those affected by Sept. 11th, and also the families who were brutally murdered by Saddam's militants and other supporters. I hope this will open the eyes of those who wish to continue evil acts against people based on their religion.

The only reason to be happy about Saddam Hussein's execution is because he did such horrible things. Which is nothing to be happy about.
I'm also sad that the whole Iraq thing is going on, and that some people will use this as a justification for our mess.

The reason America invaded Iraq had nothing to do with what he is being hung for. We accused him of having WMD, he said he didn't have any come on in and look. we said" no we are going to invade". Sense there were no weapons of mass destruction, we had to justify ourselves by hanging him for his attempt to keep his country sovereign after the first Bush push into Iraq. After george sr told him he had no problem with Iraq going into Kuwait Now that's the truth.

I'm sad about everything when it comes to Iraq. I especially feel sorry for all the innocent people who suffer needlessly for the sins of others and they do not have the freedom to learn about how their suffering may bring about redemption for themselves and for their brothers and sisters in Iraq

Its about time, should have been done long ago. But I guess even genocidal tyrants get their day in court.
Hopefully Iraq can open a new chapter in it history.
If it can shake off the 7th century throwbacks killing and hiding among the civilian population.

He is not that important in the scheme of things. Just another self centered killer. He wont arise again 3 days after HIS death. We will forget him soon enough.

Saddie is indeed a mass murderer but it was a mistake to remove him. He kept a lid on the infighting etc.. There has been more death without him than had he been left in charge. Saddie could have been controlled like Gadhaffi was.
His death could cause a Blood Bath!
