A nuerologist has suggested that I have brain surgery; because I have had epileptic seizures for 34 years; and yet the medication does not completely control the seizures. I certainly want to overcome the seizures, but it sounds like a pretty dangerous of an operation. It was suggested by Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The neurologist says that it could be the cure for the seizures, but he cannot guarantee me that they will stop after having the surgery.

I do know people who have had successful brain surgery, but please go and speak to your doctor again, and seek a second opinion as others have said. Two friends of mine had brain tumors. Both had surgery and both came out of it just fine.

Make sure you have the best doctor there is for your surgery, and if you feel you can't live with your seizures any longer, than talk over surgery with your family.

I wish you good health!

I had a brain surgery to removed a brain tumour 6 years agos. Today I feel happy and I don't regret it. Of course at first is scary, but be sure to yourself, and ask lots of questions to your doctor and as well please go for a second opinion it's very important. Good luck.
