had traffic accident,blanked out,damage on vehicle,had it voluntarily repossessed,applying for disability,have no income and no assets in my name.

I went through this 6 yrs ago and am still disabled. First thing is don't freak. They will bark, just ignore them, once you have proved to them your situation. Write to me if you need more...

not much owed..bad to have that little bit hang over you for 7 years.
if you have nothing--no need to file anything....
just let bad credit be what ever.
they can't take diddle.

file for bankruptcy and they can't go after anything, otherwise they could go after future earnings.
