Here it is...
I'm 17. I've never had a boyfriend, not because no one wants me to go out with them, but because I choose not to have a boyfriend. My family is very good friends with my best friend's family, and I have grown to love being with them. Our families always do things together. Ok, here's the "problem".
I hopelessly admire my best friend's brother. It's so easy to talk to him, our families being close, and yet... I've been freaking out a little lately. I've developed these feelings, and I honestly can't say I've felt like this before. I've only told my best friend and "HIS" best friend that I'm crushing on this guy.... my best friends brother.
They both say that there's possiblities. They say "HE" never tells anyone what girl he likes. Truly, it's a mystery, because no one knows who "HE" likes.
It's so natural to talk to "HIM". I really love him as a brother, but I wish someday we could be more. I tried to dismiss these feelings, but they came back.

He's 14.

Funny thing: My dad is three years younger than my mom.

Lol ok, I'm definetly NOT considering dating right now, or even... letting him know I like him. Dude, I'm 17. I'm not doing a relationship with a 14 year old! Please people, I know. I just... wanted to know if it was... well...weird I guess. I dunno, it takes alot for me to like a guy. I'm not easy like that. I try to live life without jumping from crush to crush. This really took me by suprise. That's what I like about him. He's the unknown. The suprise.

Annndd...... did i mention we're all homeschooled?

Also, it would be nice to have advice from the opposite sex. Not that girls can't give advice of course!

well, right now, to you it may seem weird cuz in highschool, 3 years is a big difference, but as you get older, it really isnt. i dont think its weird.i remember a junior dated an eighth grader when i was in school. then i thought this junior girl was crazy, but now, i see it wasnt. age shouldnt have anything to do with love(not saying you love him!! just giving an example)

hope that helped a little.

no i dont think there is nothing wrong with you ... girls tend to admire... little boys sometimes because in some way they are tender and they are kinda less grown up.. and in some way we love that from boys.. that they are not always trying to impress the other crowd like those 17 and 18 yr .. olds.. personally i ve never liked younger boys.. but i know why some of my friends have went out with them.. its kinda like Puppy love you cant seem to find something better around you and you see him as unique.. thats good tho that you are not considering a relationship with him.. and afterall its not that bad once he turns to an adult ... its ok .. you are not a perv.. you just like simple things.. and in your search for love you just wished sometimes guys wouldnt have to be jerks .. or make all this ridiculous stuff to get the girls attention...

Well, the fact that you're 17 complicates things. Wait a couple of years, then date him if you decide to date. No, there's nothing wrong with dating and liking a younger guy. As long as he doesn't behave immaturely and you're dating him when he's 18.

i guess that is love. it does not matter whether you are 17 or 14 or older than the other sex. as long as you love the other person, there is no problem to it. just try to feel his feelings towards you and maybe you will find the answer that you are finding for. but you are too young. just talk some more and do not rush.

well, im a guy, and i think its totally kool to crush a guy younger than you. ive gone out with girls older than me, most of the time by a couple of months (one was 16 and i was 14) and it makes the relationship really interesting, not to mention how cool it is to date a high schooler when ur in middle school, but thats just me.

3 years is about the max age difference for that age. It's fine.

No it's not weird or wrong. I think it's sweet, whether you pursue a relationship or just stay friends.

if it's meant to be then it's meant to be....

It seems like you know him really well...

it might look a little weird... but that's ok... because if those feelings of yours are true... then u know that it might work...

but notice this:
if you eventually hurt him (leave him),
u may lose a good friend... like me....

Good Luck
It's all up to you!! :)
