i was babysitting my next door nieghbor's son for a week and the mother told me to check in on him at night because she noticed his breathing has been odd so i went in the first night and i noticed he was breathing wierd so i go to put my ear on his chest to check his lungs but when i pulled back the cover i see he has tied a long sleeved shirt around his neck, actually tied not rapped around, so i took it off and next morning i asked him why he did that and he just shrugged but throughout that week i go in and have to take off something different like the sheets or a pillow case, why does he continue to do this?

he is 6 years old he isnt autistic i work with some of those kids and i know the signs and i told the parents the 2nd night they said they will make sure to check and spek to the child's doctor but i would like to know is all

that is scary........ this kid needs a psychologist right away, he could kill himself like that

Sounds like some real problem going on here. I would tell his parents if they dont already know whats going on. They should have mentioned it to youbeside the fact that he doesnt breath right. Thank god nothing's happened to him. He really needs some kind of help.

That is odd....however he might feel the need to have something wrapped around him to feel bound for some reason. Autistic kids will do this...they like to feel closed in....in tight spaces, it makes them feel constricted. How old is this kid? and what other behaviour differences have you noticed...if any??

maybe some one tied a towel on him to be superman. Now he has to be superman to sleep. don't for get to check. Ive heard horror stories but i don't want to get reported for telling u what i really think.

Yes that is really strange behavior! Does the Mom know that he does this-if not please tell her so she can get him some help before something really bad happens to the boy.

sounds odd to me... I have 3 boys and they never have done that! Maybe he is troubled... How old??
