Well... don't you see that as being an eye for an eye mentality?
It makes you all just as bad does it not... or are you feeling justified?

To make it more simpler...

Just as an example...

Why do 'Atheist's' think it is ok to attack others who are 'Christian's' of their beliefs?

Where the wording Athiest/Christain is could be anyone ok.

We all agree they we are non believers of another persons beliefs so in effect that makes us all non believers in one way right?

So why do we all think it is ok to attack any other human for their beliefs cos we are all brethren whether we like it or not and should make all attempts to be civil and understanding

You have a valid point there, there is no need for attacking any religion,Jesus taught us to Love one another, and shared his message in a loving non-threatening way.Christians who attack non-Christians are not witnessing in an effective way and are in fact creating a false persona in the minds of non-believers which is very wrong.

Believers are called to share the gospel. All believers share in this calling. Its our job. Each individual has there own way of doing that job. Alot believers have a less than kind way of doing that job. But, the point is that they care about you and usually they just want to get you thinking about your life and the way you think about life and give you a chance or open a door you may not have known you had. Instead of getting mad, just get thinking or dismiss the notion. Some believers give other believers a bad name. Most believers are very kind and peaceful while some are aggressive and outgoing. Everyone is a sinner, even believers. So you shouldn't look at them, but rather...look up. As far as the anger that is apparent...no one can rub everyone the right way all the time. Chances are - while you're getting angry, someone else might be thinking that they are really helping. Dont take it so hard. One does not always speak for all.

It is a vicious cycle. Non-believers feel that believers are shoving it down their throats and vice-versa. I am shocked to see how nasty people can be, both the religious and non-religious. The cycle can be broken if enough people would stop pushing each other. Agree to disagree.

For instance, believers always want to tell you that you are going to hell. Non-believers call religious people crazy and ignorant.

A non-believer doesn't believe in hell so it is just a negative, meaningless thing to say. I personally do not believe that religious people are crazy or ignorant. They have faith and I don't see the point of non-believer, kill-joys insulting what makes them happy.

BTW, I am an Atheist, so I guess, a non-believer.

All "believers" are entitled to believe in whatever they choose, based on their life experiences & teachings up to this point. Even the "non-believers" have this experience.
Older belief teachings embrace the 'share what you have learned' practice, but do not 'shove' any particular thinking down one's throat. If any "non-believers" (or "believers) are reading this - just remember you have the right to follow whatever teachings you choose -- let others have that same priviliege. Exchange viewpoints, but do not debate - this is not the way to show the best part of your belief (or lack there of).

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

Believers usually attack non believers and think they are holier than thou. They try to convert non believers into being believers because they think non believers are lacking in faith and therefore will go to hell. Believers should just stick to their beliefs and leave non believers alone.

man i dont want others to believe what i do...i want others to have respect, to be coherent and fair...I am gay and dont want everybody to be gay...Believers want me to believe since for them god, the bible and stuff is something wonderful...for me having sex with another man is as well something wonderful but i dont pretend every man to become homosexual, i can understand differences...Believers dont.
And last thing just because of them for many years gay people have been put in jail and even executioned so now it is tiem for a little revenge...I know their belief in god is weak they just use it as a shield against what they are too scared to face...and i told them so, they are no more than whitened sepulchres (or whatever u say in english)

I'm not sure I believe a word you're saying. And please don't take this as an attack on your beliefs. I don't believe in doing that.
