Working as an escort accompanying men to dinner, on business trips etc, having dinner and drinks with them or just hanging out and chatting and getting paid to that, is legal, right? So, what if you and the client decide you're attracted to each other and want to have sex? He's already paid for your non-sexual services so if you decide to have sex with him without charging anything extra, that is surely not actually illegal, a long as you are consenting adult?? Please no moral judgments here, just answers

Local laws vary. It is not possible to answer this without you letting us know where you plan to work.

Being An Escort

To be honest, you're using much of the same language that is used by 'professional' escorts in an effort to avoid charges of prostitution.."Consenting adults...no extra charges...etc." The hole in your argument lies in the phrase 'already paid for your non-sexual services.'

A prosecutor would probably argue that if funds are exchanged and sex occurs -- even if the sex was not described, discussed directly, or indicated in the language of your 'hire' as an escort -- the ultimate intent is prostitution on your part and solicitation for sex on the man's part.

My opinion is No. I feel, under those circumstances that would be considered completely safe... What 2 consenting adults decide to do behind closed doors is no one else’s business…. But it Law Enforcement likes to play with semantics, so just don't fall into that trap and I feel everything should be fine. But I'd suggest reading up on your regions Federal Laws and local by-laws to be sure for your own personal safety.

being an escort is perfectly legal, as far as making it more intimate, i really see as a clash between business and pleasure. if something more was to become, it should be done on a non business level at a later time, just like dating anybody you work for or with is usually a bad idea, i think it would be a good idea to create as much seperation as possible, does that help?

It varies by jurisdiction, but in general if you cross the line and have been paid to accompany him, you need to have a non-business date or it is considered prostitution, and has been prosecuted successfully as such. I know that is a predicament as attraction does happen, but your employer should explain that to you in advance - most legitimate escort services have very strict non-fraternization rules which result in firing should they be broken.

That is the argument made by many lawyers when defending women accused of prostitution. Logically, you're absolutely right. Legally, a person might still get convicted.

Right, laws are very specific about this. Once sex is involved, especially for money, then it is BIG TIME illegal.

A professional escort never does sex with a client.

You are walking a line here. Prostitution is illegal. If he has a resonable expectation that the "date" will include sexual favors he is soliciting for prostitution. If you are with him because he paid for your company and you have sex with him you are a prostitute. If sex is not involved or expected it is legal.

that's the negotiation of sex for money that's unlawful. you do not ought to have sex. All you need to do is communicate about sex for money to be unlawful. call a cost and that is prostitution. Technically it makes little experience. i ought to pay you 500 money to bypass out with me and an hour later i ought to ask you to have sex and that is criminal. If i ask you to have sex and then I furnish you with 500 money that is unlawful. Timing is each little thing.
