If I went to a male strip club (if there was one around) he'd have a royal fit. I thought we had a good relationship, granted some ups and downs, but thought it was pretty normal. I'm attractive and a very giving person. He also took the phone number from one of the dancers and they were calling each other for approximately 1 year until I got ahold of his cell bill. He claims they just were talking on the phone, I thinks that's pure crap.

Personally I don't think a married man or a man who is with a girlfriend should go to a strip club. Frist of all we know what the gal's do there they wave there bums in front of the mans face, give lap dances course the men aroused by that and have full blown erections. And we all know that a lot of the times those dancers hook up with some of those men there.
So why shouldn't a married man or boyfriend go? Because the wife/girlfriend can just as well throw on a thung, cut on some music and wave her bum in his face, give a lap dance etc.. and he can place those dollar bills in her thung! You'd think they would rather know the money is still in the house so to speak.
Your situation hun, yes it's pure crap and double crap. He had no business giving his cell number to this stripper/lady whatever. That was asking for trouble to begin with and no excuse under the sun could or would be accepted.
I suggest that you talk to your man about this situation and let him know openly and honestly how you feel about what you've discovered. Allow him to talk without you interupting him to see what he has to say for himself. If he comes up with more crap and the calls continue then I suggest you move on with your life and without him darling. You know whats going on and you also know that you don't deserve this sort of behavior and lies.
I am sure that your an attractive lady and there are other men out there that would love to be with you. Don't waste your time on someone who is more than likely cheating on you hun. Look at the whole picture here and think...This isn't hard to figure out sweetie.

I think that is pure crap also- he is lying through his teeth. But, then again, I am sure they were just talking on the phone. You might want to ask him want they did in person...... I would also go and get tested for HIV/AIDS to have peace of mind.

Men go to strip clubs for the same reason women like to go window shopping.
It's fun to look.
However your guy sounds like a jackass and if he's been talking to a stripper for a year I'm willing to bet he hasn't just been talking.

To me ... Sounds like a bunch of Hogwash!
Then again, folk are very different today. Personally, dump him and move on!

I'd have left after finding that bill.
Strip club = visual stimulation. Guys are all about seeing the parts. They're detached when it comes to sex so they're more likely to cheat.
I'd be pissed he's spending so much at those clubs too. It's not cheap.

A man can love you and be devoted to you, and still want to go to a strip club. Sex and love are 2 different things for men. Looking at strippers has nothing to do with love.

I never had a problem with strip clubs...In fact on more than one occasion I accompained my husband to local strip clubs. I also went to male strip clubs and yes he came with me sometimes. I guess it all depends on how you look at it.
