I didn't, but my parents did. They told me this story:
My mother was 10 years old and she went to a “pick your own strawberries” farm with her family. Her parents were inside paying for the strawberries they had picked and she was sitting on the porch stairs waiting for them. That is when my father, who was 12 at the time, arrived at the farm with his parents. He took one look at her and decided then and there that she was the one he wanted to marry.
They were married when he was 22 and she was 20. My father is gone now, but at the time of his death they had been married for 55 years!

Yes I did. The relationship lasted from the time I was 12 until I was 29. What a disaster! I think people really need to grow up before they meet their life mate. Growing up together doesn't seem to work long term. Too much baggage from childhood is carried over into adulthood and resentment builds....I know that wasn't the question, but I thought I'd add my two cents!

No, but the man I am going to marry has been in my life since we were both children, but we didn't really see each other as more than "friends" until I was 25 and he was 24.

yes i did. i met him when i was 13 and we dated off and on till we married in 2000. married going on 7 years (i'm 33) so i've known him 20 years now. its been a rough 6 and 20 years but we are trying.

nope...but I was only 19 when I got married so I guess I married my teenaged sweetheart.

Yes, I did. We dated for 2 yrs. then got separated for 8 yrs., I got married to another guy and got a divorce from him... finally our paths cross again. We got back together and then got married after dating for one yr. and now we're one year married!
And these things we gone thru was worth it since in the long run we ended up togehter again.
