Wow - diving into a maelstrom here...

From a sex standpoint - a woman's vagina is generally in the 4" range... so if you're longer than that you can, may, and in my case often do, wack into the woman's cervix....

That said - best quote from a lady friend in high school - she liked 'em thick and short - like a fire hydrant...

In a relationship - it really shouldn't, and generally doesn't, make a difference. A male friend of mine was a virgin until his early twenties simply because no woman was willing to deal with his semi-hard (blood pressure issues) 10" penis...

Relationships, at least healthy long lasting ones, are more dependent on communication, and affection than anything else.

As for women - who the heck knows... I've gotten all sorts of answers from them, some claiming a preference, some denying any preference. Some express fear of overly large members (and won't sleep with them) and others refusing to sleep with anything that's not 'large enough'...

In that regard I suppose it falls into mens preferences on how big or small the old breasts are...

Just my .01

Psycological? Yes. For whom? For the guy. Many men think that they may not be big enough for their girl. That is why you have a multi-billion dollar industry for male enhancement products that do not medically work. Never do you hear a man complain that his member is too big. LOL

Does it matter in a relationship? It really doesn't. Most women don't complain about their man's manhood, but they do complain about not getting an orgasm. A lot of men don't understand that intercourse alone will not get a woman to orgasm. One has to come to the bedroom with sensuality and foreplay to get her sexually excited.

If a man is feeling inadaquate downstairs, he needs to take heart that the clitoris is located at the mouth of the vagina and not at the back of the birth canal. Unless she just gave childbirth or she is big as Rosie O'Donnell, her vaginal opening will elastically compensate for the male member. One also needs to remember if a 5-10lb baby can come out of that hole, you aren't that big.

If its an issue for the woman she should admit her preferences, move on, or adjust. It shouldn't matter in a relationship cause its the personality that is keeping you together, not the looks or size cause with age some of that will fade. It may be psychological for both men and women. Men are worried "will the next woman I meet or plan to have sex with my size?" The woman is safeguarded with her size requirements and exceptions if any.
That's just what I think not to be-little males or females.

Unfortunately America has a never ending appetite for anything to do with sex. The world is on the verge of economic collapse, and American´s are more concerned about how big their penis is.

It is not the size of the boat but the motion of the ocean. If you truely love and care about this person than his penis size does not matter at all.
