I took my cat to the vet and they found a hard belly. They gave him a enema and he shot out whats been hurting him about 10 seconds later. 2 days has passed and he has blood in his stool. is this typical after an enema? He had a thermometer stuck up his butt then this enema and im thinking it was "rough" for him. I watched him poop and it looks like it hurts. sometimes he has drool coming out of his mouth when hes done. He wont eat or drink much, just hides in places. He also has an infected eye. They gave him meds for that but now he has this small black cloud forming below his iris. Is this a rash reaction to the medication or considered normal for most eye infections?

I think hes more sick than just constipated with an eye infection. Any tips would help. The Vet says if no improvement shows within 2 weeks to take him back.

Hi!His poops probably do hurt.Tuna juice in his food might help.
How much blood is he passing in his stool? If it is a small amount it is because his poor little bum is actually tearing a little bit to let the stool past. The same thing happens to humans.
If he is bleeding alot, like a teaspoon full or more, each time, he really should go see his vet sooner rather than later.
The drooling is normal; he is working hard to poop. He must drink, water is more important than eating for a day or 2. He just wont feel like it right now.
The dark spot on his eye could be few things... Dark clouds on the eyes is usually associated with blindness. BUT, it could also be a reaction to the meds. He should see the vet again for his eye soon. Stop giving him the meds until he sees the vet. If you cant see the vet until next week, call and talk to him or her on the phone and explain everything.
Hope it all works out! your cat needs extra love right now! Poor guy! Good luck! :o)

Constipation can be VERY serious in cats, and often the enema just gets rid of a small amount of stool, when there is a lot more in the colon. These cats often require sedation for thorough enemas. The drooling is probably because he is nauseous. If it had just been a small amount of stool, he'd be better by now, ans you shouldn't wait two weeks. What's going on with his eye also doesn't sound normal, and he should go to a different vet tomorrow, one who will take his porblems seriously and treat them accordingly. Good Luck!!

I as quickly as had a cat who could run and conceal interior the closet on each and every occasion somebody got here to my homestead. I presently have a cat who's additionally paranoid and could not are available in if he sees all and sundry yet me status on the door. he will, even inspite of the shown fact that, come interior the homestead if he hears my voice; and then he shoots in and hides till he thinks it somewhat is secure. Cats do equate nutrition with love and secure practices. try feeding the cat a sprint moist nutrition as a take care of while he's available in. he will learn which you're ok and would replace into extremely much less paranoid. yet, he will probably continuously be very related on your spouse. Be comfortable, do not stress the themes, and shop attempting. with a bit of luck he will come around.
