Since the FDA has already allowed the sale of this "meat" without any special labels, it's enough to make me turn to vegetarianism. Or at least chickenism until they clone those, too! Would you eat cloned meat?

I'm gonna have to go with a solid NO. Maybe twenty years from now when they figure out what the long term effects of the stuff is... I might change my mind. My butcher says he's not going to purchase any, he's still gonna get his cows locally, So maybe I'll be safe.

What about this puts you off? Do you think it is somehow not beef because it was cloned? It's the same as non-cloned meat, just genetically produced from other animals. This actually makes me think of the meat as safer.

With "normal" meat you have the biological chance of getting altered meat through normal mutations. It essentially is safer than just letting "nature" take it's course.

If you object to it for respect of the natural order of life, then I can understand that as it is a moral choice. However, on a purely safe/unsafe judgment, there is nothing wrong with cloned meat which seemed the nature of your question.

So long and short, yes I'd eat cloned meat.

Eww yuck. I am seriously considering becoming a vegetarian. What a surprise more chemicals in our food. Don't be surprised if 10 years from now 5 year old kids will have advanced puberty. I doubt we need cloned meet. Dammit, find a cure for cancer or better yet AIDS... How about focusing on global warming?
